367587	2005-06-30 04:24:00	2.5" drives will cost more, but then no power to worry about. 3.5" drives will be faster and hold way more data, up to 400Gb now. I would recommend Seagate hard drives. You could also look at a one of these (www.seagate.com), there are also other brands of the same thing. Just plug it in and one button backs up everything.	Rob99 (151)

367591	2005-06-30 18:41:00	Prescott Thanks for mentioning that. If that is so with the warranty it will be very tempting. Quite a few others have a year's if I remember right. Being hot-swapable is another good feature. I guess the 2.5" would have an advantage that they don't need xtra power supply. So I am getting closer. Gion	notechyet (4479)
367592	2005-12-19 19:22:00	Interesting thread. It appears that people are able to backup and image to a USB external drive with Ghost. How about restoring the image from a boot floppy from the external USB drive to drive0 on your PC. Any problems??	paulw (1826)
367593	2005-12-20 09:42:00	I have tried to restore and as an exercise-restore to my son's computer HDD. I placed his HDD in my computer as slave , restored the image to it. Then I did change it to master but could not get to boot. The idea was to boot up and deinstall all hardware then go to his machine and boot up and let his hardware load the drivers.
