im stuck.... parents bought a new printer but theres no where to plug it in!!! :stare:

368133 2005-06-30 02:30:00 You will need a USB card to get some USB ports. I hope your OS is 98 or later. There might be problems with W95. ;)

If you have a network interface card you could get a printer server box with a USB port, but that's probably an expensive way to go.

368134 2005-06-30 05:44:00 USB port cards are as cheap as dirt. 2 port, 4 port and I even have a 6 port lying about somewhere. But yes, Win95 while not impossible to get working is a bit fiddly. Win98 is better. pctek (84)

It'll be better if u get a USB 2 PCI card . .

Well most mobos these days have it onboard . If it isnt an old system .

If the printer is USB 2, it wont take so long . And USB 2 printers aren't expensive .
