| 367801 | 2005-06-29 00:32:00 | A query to the Moderators, is it worth adding a FAQ covering the beeps and other noises that are met at the most inopportune moment? Thinking of the AMI and IBM beep codes plus other warnings similar to that recently mentioned by Godfather re an overheating CPU. Appreciate that many programmes use sounds to audibly warn of an action taken ie HP printers when printer is shut down, Caps Lock beep, Netscape Mail when mail has been received etc but would assume users of a programme would be aware of these and may in fact have set the programme accordingly. Had a fossick through the FAQ's, excellent layout. |
