367630 2005-06-28 06:43:00 Hi Guys and Gals

I am running Office 97 on XPPro and have an issue with Excel.
I have a workbook with several worksheets that all link back to another workbook.
I wish to break/stop the link, but have not been able to figure out how to do so.
The Excel HELP has not been helpful and I have googled without a lot of success.
At the moment when I open the afflicted workbook, I get a dialogue box
asking
"Update Linked Info" press Yes
"Keep Existing Info" press No

Dose anyone know how to break the links

Cheers
HH

Important When you break a link to a source, all formulas that that use the source are converted to their current value. For example, the link =SUM(Annual!C10:C25) would be converted to =45. Because this action cannot be undone, you may want to save a version of the file before you start.

on the [b]Edit menu, click Links.
In the Source list, click the link you want to break. To select multiple linked objects, hold down CTRL and click each linked object.
To select all links, press CTRL+A.
Click Break Link.
