| 368631 | 2005-07-02 04:51:00 | hi, As ive mentioned in previous threads, im running ubuntu 5.04. ive got to the point that im wanting, and in some cases needing, to install aditional software. how would i do this? |

| 368632 | 2005-07-02 06:09:00 | For a start, have another look at your signature and practice what you preach. ;) The forum has a Linux FAQ (www.pressf1.co.nz) with links to sites with good information. Go to those sites and read up on their info and if you still can't figure things out, come back and ask for help. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh but there is a lot to learn with Linux and if you can't be bothered trying to help yourself first then maybe Linux is not for you. |

| 368634 | 2005-07-03 07:42:00 | um yea, thats the problam, for alot of apps teh quide was very helpful, but as is the case with the majority of guides, they lack greatter depth. i just really want to install the quake3a demo off of Id's site. |
