368592 2005-07-02 00:21:00 Hello all

If I want to set up a FTP ability so I can post files so my club members download them, can I

# do this without a webpage
# what software should I use
# can I leave my pc on so they can access at all times

I can't seem to find anywhere on the Xtra page where i can get a free homepage?? Do they not offer them - even ****y Paradsie does this?

THanks

Not a good idea unless you really know what you're doing
There are 50 odd million internet users with the potential to have free access to your PC unless setup properly. Xtra might chuck their toys out of the cot if they see what you're doing as well.
Having said that, it can be done using a variety of methods or 3rd party apps

There are heaps of free online storage options such as streamload, megastore, xdrive etc.
Do a google for free online storage

Sweet, a bit budget but easy to use.

Can I pay to get more than 3meg capacity?

368599 2005-07-02 03:06:00 Here's a site I use for free web space

http://www.1asphost.com/

depending on how many members you have you could use

http://www.yousendit.com/

to distribute files, email the link to yourself & then send the download link to your members.
