| 368475 | 2005-07-01 09:47:00 | Can you have too many programs on your Hard Drive and if so how much spare space should you have in relation to disk size. Does too many programs slow down your computer if you have XP Prof and 1024 Ram..? Thanks... |

If they are of the type that like to startup automatically each time your start your computer and run in the background, then this will add unnecessary background clutter and slow down your computer. You can check what is automatically loading by using "msconfig" or by using Spybot Search & Destroy and look at the startup list under the advanced options. By looking at each entry you can decide whether or not the stop this program loading on startup. You can look up the startup entries on this website: Startup Applications (www.pacs-portal.co.uk). |
