368408 2005-07-01 07:27:00 Interner Explorer - Web photos, which were originally fine, have now become of low quality.

An individual photo can be returned to good quality by right clicking photo and on pop up menu clicking refresh photo in full quality.
Problem is how to have photos high quality again when first accessed.

Al photos from camera are fine.

368409 2005-07-01 09:45:00 Hi Bas, welcome to PressF1

Can you think of any changes you have made prior to this happening with IE? What brand of PC do you have and is it a desktop or laptop? There has been reported issues with Dell laptops and the DPI setting affecting images in IE.

Also, is it every web image or just on web pages with lots of images?

368410 2005-07-01 10:16:00 Jen thanks for reply Have recently been posting images to Flickr' photo site. Computer is assembled here in NZ. - desktop - Windows XP. All web photos are low quality although until recently they were OK.
Photos on an ACER Laptop are OK.

368411 2005-07-01 10:39:00 Does your ISP provide an "accellerator" function (to speed up web surfing)?

Sound like they might do, and images are auto compressed to low quality (which is where most of the so-called "speed up" comes from) if that is enabled on the problem PC.

368413 2005-07-01 12:36:00 There are a number of Internet Options for IE (Tools menu->Internet Options->advanced tab) such as:

Automatic image resizing
Smart Dithering

Try turning them off or give Firefox a crack.
