| 368306 | 2005-06-30 20:29:00 | First of all I am a procrastinor I would love to buy a new computer but always think there there is something better around the corner – which of course there is. However I don’t feel like going in and buying an off the shelf item from Heathcotes etc as I think computers are not really off the shelf items. I run XP Home and have all my software. I don’t play fancy games just simple ones. Work with Office a lot and just home photo’s. I look at Trade Me listing and they confuse me toooo much choice. Hoping for your opinion on a couple of them and perhaps if you are a Trade Me watcher a few recommendations if possible. | 368309 | 2005-06-30 22:39:00 | Dunno where you're from but buying local is always a good idea You at least have someone's face to get into should something go wrong Support and service counts for a lot, even if it costs a few more $$ for the PC Most PC's on TM look and sound flash, but are usually built on the cheapest MOBO's & parts available and there is no guarantee the seller will be around to help you out if things go pear shaped a few months down the track with warranties etc. You will also have to pull the PC apart yourself to send faulty parts back (at your expense) or send the whole thing back. On the other hand if you are comfortable fixing any problems that may arise then some good deals can be found from online retailers |
