368335 2005-07-01 09:31:00 1)hjt logs usually have more tho with a stripped out system it could be less.
2)you can get problems with core programs being installed on different drives/partitions than the OS exspecailly when you format/reinstall.
1)I've noticed. I hate clutter so anything unnecessary gets deleted. Including IE/OE. And I hate stuff in the startup, except for ZoneALarm of course and I let Counterspy today.
2)Nothing is on C: really. Its a small partition just for the O/S. Everything goes on D:. In nice tidy folders.
C: is ghosted, from its first clean install. When I chnaged the graphics card for instance, I restored to my clean ghost, then changed the driver and then ghosted it again straight after.
Any new apps etc get to run for a while first before I add them properly like with the driver change. Just in case. Not that I install stuff often. Just a new game or two.

368337 2005-07-06 21:19:00 This came back. Or wasn't removed in the first place. What happens is my browser pauses. If I bookmark the screen at that point, the URL shows as about:blank.
The browser will go to the webpage after thinking for a bit.

This is the only symptom this time. Nothing at all in Hijackthis. Nor any other checker.

The problem is there is nothing in this AppInit_DLLs key.

You think its because I uninstalled IE that I can't find/kill it?
