368165 2005-06-30 07:09:00 ctrl t brings up new tab in Firefox, there is also an extension which has this as an add on button; diggler I believe.

If you get tab clicking options there is an option to add new tab as well.

368167 2005-06-30 07:39:00 Hmmm do I download the 8.2MB Firefox .. or the 10MB Opera?

Then theres ... do I want to pay for my browser to get rid of the annoying ad, or do I get Firefox?

Personally I found the tabbed browsing in Opera a pain in the proverbial butt (yes I tried it about 6 months ago for a while - about a month)

Hence why I chose Firefox, which I found much easier to use

368168 2005-06-30 07:39:00 I use Opera for checking my eMails, because of the Magic Wand feature, and Firefox for general browsing, every now and again I have to use the extension "view this page in IE" but not much. zqwerty (97)

368171 2005-06-30 08:19:00 Firebox has a new tab button.
Double clicking the tabs toolbar also opens a new tab.

No extensions or plug-ins required.

Its been like this since the first version I tried (0.8 I think)

It also has the toolbar displaying bookmarks....which I disable, no need to waste space, one click brings up all my bookmarks down the lefthand side of the screen.

368174 2005-06-30 09:55:00 I have used Opera for the last few years or so and thought it was far the best, then tonight for a trial I installed firefox . . . . .

Opera is STILL the best, easier to use, better looking, etc, but firefox has some awesome addons .

I am tempted to stay with firefox just for the adblock extention .

Every adver now comes up with a little tab under it saying "adblock" . click on the tab and by deleting the url back to the root and adding a /* you can block every advert from that advertiser .

Its awesome!!!

Really the killer tool as far as I can see . Other I found were just nifty .

The screens are so much less busy, and nicer to use .
