| 369150 | 2005-07-04 03:11:00 | Help help help anyone Am running Win2000 and Office2000. In a rush of blood to the head, cleaned out bugs and stuff and invoked RegClean. Now get a popup message when opening Excel files (with macros) stating "The file 'OLEAUT32.DLL' is out of date. This program requires a newer version." On pressing "OK" another popup says "An error occurred initializing the VBA libraries (16389)" I downloaded the file from a site. Now for the idiot part. Not being a DOShead I dropped the file into C:/WINNT/ServicePackFiles/i386. Of course it didn't work. Question 1: Have I done any damage, other than not fixing the problem? 2: Is there an easy way to fix this other than using DOS? Cheers Danny |
