| 368911 | 2005-07-03 06:45:00 | On XP the twin monitor ikon comes on in the task bar on both ADSL and Dial-up. With ME the ikon only comes on with Dial-up. On broadband there is no indication that it is on line. This can be very frustrating. Also with XP you can enable/disable the connection by clicking on the Ikon. With ME a restart is usually required, and then you still have no indication until you try the Browser etc. Is there a way of creating an online Ikon for ADSL on the Windows ME task Bar? |

| 368913 | 2005-07-03 13:03:00 | Connected via Ethernet Adaptor (Dual booting XP & ME) I cant access the Router if it is disabled. Have to save everything & restart. I don't know if it is disabled until I try to use it. With XP I just right click the Ikon and select 'enable' or 'disable' |

| 368915 | 2005-07-04 04:21:00 | If you have onboard networking or a NIC, then you should be always online unless you turn off your router. Are you saying that under WinME the NIC disables itself? What happens if you go to Control Panel > Networking > device name and re-enable the ethernet connection? Or does your router require you clicking on a logon icon to make the connection?
