368797 2005-07-02 23:57:00 Hi (sorry to hog this space but have had one of those weekends already)
Having had trouble on my main computer I hav gone to my laptop and made a slideshow on Photostory and saved but...I don't know how to save the slideshow file onto DVD. it has a dvd burner.I had a quick look and it didn't seem to want to differenciate between programme and file?!
I want to use my laptap on holiday to load down photos etc and hence want to take off my slideshows to disc and take those discs to play as required.
(a basic question here - once I have saved onto disc or even laptop then I can take the parent photos off my laptop for space? ... it talks about using thumbnails)
not sure why I persist with computers...when they are going well its great but when age and going hell get together!!!
cheers lindy

368798 2005-07-03 00:30:00 Your question is a bit confusing (to me anyway) but if I understand correctly... you should just be using some burning software that came with the dvd burner - it should be on a disk and probably needs to be installed. Maybe you have something like Nero?

Sorry if I've completely misunderstood. But anyway, if you use your software, eg Nero, it's really straightforward.

Pls let us know if that's the issue?

If you bought a rewritable DVD (which are becoming cheap) you might save some money on experiments with different programmes. Just be careful to get the right sort to work with your drive. I love standards.
