368720 2005-07-02 15:31:00 Just updated my norton antivirus 02 and firewall 03 to NAV 04 Pro and NIS 04 Pro .
Ran a scan and it found among a few joke/prank programs two rather disturbing files . . .

C:\Windows\System32\explorer . exe
C:\Windows\System32\explorer . dll

I finally managed to delete both of them (the dll had to be removed in recovery console)
NAV reported both as 'Hacktool . SCKeylogger' and it seems they had been there since October last year :horrified  :stare:

NIS also alerted me to an email attempting to be sent to 'shadow_moses15@hotmail . com', and the only reason that came up was because the connection timed out .

I have also noticed (and I'm not sure if it's a feature or a problem) that NAV 04 seems to like deleting viruses more than quarantining them, even though I set all options to 'Try to repair then quarantine if unsucessful' :waughh: :help:

I'm all for deleting - why would you want to keep it?

368723 2005-07-03 01:46:00 Well if the thing detects something as a virus when it's not, Or I want to analyse it then how am I supposed to do anything about it?

By the way, Norton AntiSpam is the most annoying piece of **** I have ever come across
Anyone know any good ways to turn it off/get rid of it without norton going ballistic?
