2005-07-06 04:59:00 | Without fail all versions i have had, and i forget regularly. so open link from here and next thing FF is closed. Why does it do this? it happens the instant the new tab opens. FF freezes and bye bye sweetie. I remember for a few weeks, and then not knowing sometimes i open a link from pf1 and same thing. it doesnt seem to matter what version FF, they all seem to do it. Still have the email link issue which opens IE...so im not sure where, or what i have done....its always operator probs this here end...:p Does any one else have this problem? with this Stuff site or else on other sites? beetle

2005-07-06 05:20:00 | I take it you mean And it only occurs on that site? What about other sites that use Macromedia flash? See what happens when you load this site (http://www.tvnz.co.nz/view-preempt/tvnz_epg_skin/#16:00" target="_blank">www.stuff.co.nz/ when you say stuff? And it only occurs on that site? | 369815 | 2005-07-06 05:23:00 | Well Beetle, did you know that mzee, Metla and Rob all converted to Opera today? I can open both of the links Jen posted without crashing so you may as well convert to Opera as well, now. ;) :D | FoxyMX (5) | |
2005-07-06 05:40:00 | Hi beetle. I know that its against the modern flow of things on this site, but I find the old fashioned IE works wonderfully on the sites mentioned and others. It is so long since I had a site cause problems that I've forgotten when it last hapened. My vote for IE and I wait for the slanging match. | Scouse (83) | |

2005-07-06 05:55:00 | meh, I visit stuff.co.nz many times a day with firefox, never had a single issue. Certainly wouldn't go recomending the worlds most hijacked browser as a fix for anything.

2005-07-06 05:58:00 | My vote for IE and I wait for the slanging match.I'm not going to slang you Scouse as everyone has to use what suits them but I nearly went mental using IE on my other drive for several hours. The biggest thing I missed was the tabs but there were lots of other things that I take for granted and forgot I couldn't do in IE. | FoxyMX (5) | |

2005-07-06 06:17:00 | there must be a few sites that you have to use IE for?I don't have IE at home, so there is no "other" option if the site requires IE. I don't recall having had this problem, and Firefox (or Konqueror for the very odd site) always seems to work fine. If other people can view stuff.co.nz with Firefox (myself included), this means there must be a local problem for Beetle. It might be the Flash plugin not functioning. Beetle, if you put in about:plugins in the Firefox address bar, what information does it give for Flash?
