370164 2005-07-07 03:30:00 Has anyone out there had any dealings with this outfit?.
I bought their "Registry Repair Pro" programme after downloading the trial version, paying by Visa.
Have a problem getting it work as the full version and emailed them to the address given. After three emails and no reply, spread over a month am beginning to think I have been had.
3B Software have a very impressive web site and look genuine, but maybe it's one we should avoid..
Comments welcome..Ron..

370166 2005-07-07 04:19:00 You should have used ccleaner .

It not only gets rid of temp files etc . It also gets rid of invalid registry entries, and its free .

And it also has an uninstall option for stubborn programs that wont disappear from add/remove programs, and an option to remove files from startup in the registry .

370168 2005-07-07 06:34:00 See here (www.spywarewarrior.com) they are on their Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products list. That is for their antispyware product, Ron24 purchased the "Registry Repair Pro" program. However any company with a track record like that with one product, doesn't say much about what their other products will be like. Not impressed with their attempt to rip off "Sandrasoft" (benchmarking) by selling a benchmarking program called "Sandra" either.

You might have to chalk this one down to experience unfortunately. If you feel inclined, you might wish to have a look at this page (www.dallas.bbb.org) and file a complaint.

370169 2005-07-07 23:57:00 Thanks Jen and all who replied to my post. Have filed a report with the bureau and will be interested to see if they have any result.
Just a warning to anyone who is tempted to deal with this outfit, the last you will hear from them is when they receive your money.. Cheers Ron.. :angry

370170 2005-07-08 00:32:00 Sorry to hear you got burnt Ron
It's an all too common occurence
Here are some tips for next time

Never buy from any site that doesn't prominently display:
An 'About us' page with relevant details
A 'Physical Address' preferably with a photo that you can check (Not a PO Box as these clowns do)
Phone numbers you can check
Names of personnel
A privacy page

Doesn't mean you still won't get burnt, but the chances are minimised
