370229 2005-07-08 00:17:00 Hi
I have to design a website for a predominately female audience and the client has request the site be feminine and professional,

Go back and ask exactly what the client thinks feminine means, or what they are looking for.
Personally anything containing the suggestions below don't enthuse me at all. What the hell is a feminine website anyway? If I am looking for some product or service, all I care about is the site is easy to navigate, not full of flash or other irritating stuff and to the point.

370231 2005-07-08 02:15:00 It's a craft supplies website
It's basically a site that needs to appeal to women (not being sexist here), their clientele is female between the ages of 9 - 90,

some of those sites given here are good (I had already checked out the feminine "products" and magazines, but most of those were puerile, and as for other craft companys, most look like they have been designed by a colourblind Gorilla using MSfrontpage)

And Metla as for your Sisters site, it's quite good, The only thing that struck me as being slightly off shall we say, was on the home page having the colours on the images appear on mouseover is a little counter intuitive especially as their aren't captions under them so you know they are actually links, but apart from that i thought it was quite good.
PS thats was an observation and it was no way intended as a dig, insult, ***** etc.. (just covering myself there, as some people take offence at anything, and no that is not a dig at Metla or anyone else) just covering all bases

Cheers
Nigel

As far as her site is concerned, simple, to the point, not overloaded with pics (a real dialup mood killer)
Finally someone who remembers what dialup webpage download speeds are like :D
