| 370117 | 2005-07-06 19:10:00 | I used to have an Emachines T2484 wit all stock parts on it. Recently I decided to upgrade the motherboard and CPU as before I had a slow 2.4 Celeron D. After putting the new motherboard together and installing it my PC just starts up and then a message says Press (TAB) to enter setup Serial_Ch0 Master not found Serial_Ch0 Slave Not found ( something like this, it flashes to fast to read it) then goes to this page Safe Mode Safe Mode with networking Safe Mode with Command Prompt Last Known Configuration Start Normally Then, it doesnt matter which one I choose the computer just restarts and goes through the same process again. The new motherboard I purchased is the PCCHIPS m975g and I have the Intel P4 sckt 775 CPU |

Serial_Ch0 Master not found . . . . . correct me if I'm wrong but this tends to suggest that the bios is set to look for a master SERIAL . . . . . drive as in SATA . . . . . . . . better check your boot settings in the bios . . . . . . if you are running ide drives Well, that fixed that part of the problem but now when I turn the PC on it loads the Graphics card then goes to the American Megatrends page (like normal) but then it goes back to the Start in Safe Mode etc . etc . etc . and just restarts like it did before but without the Serial_Ch0 Master Not Found error |
