| 370793 | 2005-07-09 11:59:00 | Hi all IHUG is our provider and we currently have Jetstream. I have only just been advised that IHUG can no longer offer Jetstream (perhaps this is old news, but I have only just been told) - the choice is to go over to Xtra and get a Jetstream account or stay with IHUG and get Blink. I have been told that IHUG's Blink has a 2 Mbps download speed with a data allowance of 10 GB per month. My questions are ... 1 Is Blink as fast as full Jetstream? 2 Is Blink as reliable as Jetstream? I welcome your comments. I don't want to change providers unless I really have to. Oxie (Lyn) |

It is just as fast for downloading and surfing, but it has latency issues (nowhere near as bad as woosh though) so online games & VOIP won't be as good as jetstream. As for reliability, Telecom still controll all the hardware so if one ISP is down, they are all down. |
