No No most (like 95%) of 6600GT video cards are only 128MB, not 256, there are one or two manufactures making a 256 version but they are rear, DON'T get confused with the 6600 NON GT video cards that are often 256 (crappy cards and a waste of time). Also Fear is VERY heavy on pixel shader side of things, and I am not talking about paging stutter. IE my poor little 9800XT struggles to get much over 35FPS in Fear, if you turn of shadows it jumps to around 70+ FPS everything else can be set to high detail. I for example have 2 gig of system ram, I am sure its GPU related. The 6600GT's are having similar problems as they are only up to 30% faster depending on the game. Lot of info in other forums on Fear, you can't trust it to benchmark at the moment. |
