K heres my problem i cant install anything but i can still read the cds.
Keep getting the error message:

[autoplay.exe]-this file varies (install.exe) and other stuff

"This application has failed to start because KERNEL36.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Ive tried copying the cd to a folder and running the install.exe from the folder and install from cd but that still doesnt work.
Its mainly me trying to install warcraft III. But its the same with other cds so i know its not warcraft.

Ive tried reinstall the drivers/ any ideas wuld b helpful. My main query is *** is KERNEL36.DLL
im on XP

371060 2005-07-11 02:27:00 your CD-ROM drive is fine .

But KERNEL36 . dll???? that sounds dodgy . . . .

There should be a kernel32 . dll file in your 'C:\windows\system32' folder, but as for kernel36? never heard of it .

maybe this has something to do with a virus?
