371525 2005-07-12 05:48:00 I am looking for an FTP client for Linux.
I use the Gnome desktop, and would prefer a client that runs on Gnome
I know that Konqueror can handle FTP, but its KDE based.
Throw me some ideas please :)

371526 2005-07-12 05:52:00 I don't use Gnome or a gui-ftp client. But I do highly recommend sftp, a command-line client that uses ssh. All ftp clients seem to use the same basic group of commands, of which less than 10 you will really ever use, so a command-line client should be no problem at all. vinref (6194)
371527 2005-07-12 08:24:00 There is gFTP which comes with FC4. It is a multi-threaded ftp client and is fine for Gnome - Blurb (www.gftp.org/) and screenshot (http:).

If you go ALT-F2 system-config-packages and then look under the Graphical Internet section, you will find it listed under the "extras".

There are some other ones, kasablanca does direct FTP <-> FTP copies IIRC
