| 371812 | 2005-07-13 07:46:00 | Hi all We have here at home a Jetstream connection that works well when used with Firefox 1.0.4. However when using IE 6.0 (which I need to connect to work Citrix account) IE cannot find the existing connection. I've had a look at the xtra website and Googled the problem, but cannot work out what is wrong. Question is, what do I need to do to get IE to connect to Jetstream Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Sookie |

Hi Auto detect settings is on under LAN settings Firewall (Sygate) is set to ask first, but it never even gets to that point. All other apps work fine. Cheers Sookie |

| 371819 | 2005-07-13 08:15:00 | i would NOT reccomend that you have 'autodetect settings' ticked under LAN settings cause this will make IE try to connect thru a nonexistant proxy, there should be no ticks there... if you connect to the modem thru the ethernet cable then try this open up any IE page even if it says 'page cant be displayed' then in the addy bar type in the modem ....the setup page built into the modem. from there try the settings to see if it says 'connected' ....also check controlpanel/network/local" target="_blank">10.1.1.1 and tap enter this should pop up the login box to take you 'into' the modem ....the setup page built into the modem. from there try the settings to see if it says 'connected' ....also check controlpanel area connection/properties and in there clik on internet protocol (tcp/ip) and then clik the properties button.........it should have NO ticks or IP numbers and shoudl say 'obtain ip addy automatically' | drcspy (146) | ||

Still a wee bit lost. Sookie |

| 371821 | 2005-07-13 08:56:00 | In IE Tools/Internet Options Connections Tab Select Lan Settings and make sure proxy server is not ticked. Have you tried with the firewall off. |
