371723 2005-07-13 00:36:00 Its not an upgrade, it was a clean install, i was looking for step by step instructions Dannz (1668)
371724 2005-07-13 00:49:00 Are there any disks in any drives?

Where there hard drives in your machine when you installed that you've since taken out?

You could use recovery console to restore (fixboot, fixmbr, etc), or simply reinstall.

371727 2005-07-13 01:16:00 Do a search for NTLDR is missing in here. A lot of people have had the same prob recently. Speedy Gonzales (78)
371728 2005-07-13 01:18:00 look at these.

You receive an "NTLDR is missing" error message when you start your computer

371729 2005-07-14 02:11:00 Im looking at a directory listing in which i can see ntldr but the system is still telling me its missing! Dannz (1668)
371730 2005-07-14 02:19:00 What you can see is a directory entry for a file called NTLDR. However, the actual file pointed to by that directory entry might not be a non-corrupted, complete, working copy of the programme code needed to load the NT kernel. ;)

(BTW, isn't NTLDR, and a couple of other boot up files supposed to be hidden?)
