372474 2005-07-15 06:43:00 I thought this XP was supposed to make networking a breeze!
Three computers on a network AXP BXP C98.The XP computers can see the C98 easily.AXP cannot map BXP C drive as a network drive from explorer but can axcess BXP C drive through 'My Network Places'. BXP Cannot get access to AXP at all but can ping it. We have set all drives and computers to give axcess as much as we can.
We would like to be able to have all three computers mapped as network drives so we can easily transfer data between the three. THanks for any help David

Try searching networking in the search at the top of of the page. There will be lots of posts on this subject and there may be something there which relates to you problem.
However,
I know that there are issues in networking W98 as I had them and never resolved them. Maybe try taking w98 out of the equation and see if it helps.
Good luck.

372476 2005-07-16 02:56:00 Its a permissions issue

Search my previous posts for networking things, Ive covered it quite a bit. Username/passwords is where things need fixing in your instance from what you've written.

Chill.
