373032 2005-07-18 04:04:00 I am sick of the crappy service and expensive charges of my ISP. I have signed up with Telecom for Jetstream (yes, I know the service will not be any better but at least I am getting Jetstream for what I was paying in dialup charges before).

Here is the problmem. I have a web address xxx@abc.net which I use as my main email address. My ISP curently host this for me at a cost per month. I don't think Telecom do this kind of thing and so I need to move my web address to somebody who will host it but not be my ISP. I am happy to pay a small charge to have it hosted as ling as my mail is delivered etc.

What names should I be lookng at?

373033 2005-07-18 05:29:00 Gmail - I currently use it to subscribe to my Linux mailling lists, and then forward them automatticly to my main email.

If you want to, I can invite you to Gmail.

373034 2005-07-18 06:38:00 Thanks for that, I already have Gmail....that is not quite the nub of the problem as many people have my xxx@abc.net address as opposed to my Gmail address. PJKing (2630)
373035 2005-07-18 12:16:00 Why not just leave you Domain Name where it is and get them to set the mail rules for your domain to forward messages to your Xtra email address (or any email address for that matter) for downloading.
They do not have to do anymore except host your domain name.
You could get Xtra to host the domain but it may cost more than where it is at the moment and the end result is the same ( you still get your mail ) regardless of who hosts it.

373036 2005-07-19 08:10:00 Your best option would be to get a cheap hosting account from someone like Myacen (www.myacen.com) or TJR Networks (http:) and use the email features included with it. :) maccrazy (6741)
