| 1388756 | 2014-11-24 19:00:00 | Hi All, Ok Im getting some pretty slow ADSL speed at home. Average 1.6 mbps down 0.6 up from Speedtest.net I have run isolation tests with no change in result. Im based in Beach haven Auckland. On Spark - ADSL Router - asus dsl-ac68u Im wondering if I have a line issue with all this bad weather. You SNR ratio is reasonable and your speed test results are about what I'd expect for that downstream connection rate. Your speed would suggest you are > 3km from the exchange and if so then your results are ok, if you are closer than that you might have line problems. bear in mind this graph is generic and doesn't account for differing cables etc. |

Cables don't necessarily follow the same route that you'd walk so it's not always obvious but it does seem like you should get better speeds. Next step is either try another router or talk to your ISP. Another simple option is to ask some of your neighbours if you're on good terms with them, if they are getting better speeds that's a good indicator. | dugimodo (138) | ||
