1388371 2014-11-19 21:55:00 Any of you Guy’s & Gal’s prepared to recommend a programme that will copy bog standard Video’s in their native Video_TS and Audio_TS format.

I just want to back-up some Videos I have that came as part of a travel magazine.

Got a couple of programmes here but the clones won’t play in the DVD player, but OK on one computer. Originals fine though.

Just wondering if the laser on the DVD drive that burnt the clones is a bit down on power or if there is some copy protection?

As always any help appreciated. :thanks

As to your question, answering it might break the rules of the forum I'm not sure. There are commercial programs that can do it and some older free ones that are still available. If it's not protected or uses older protection this might do the job www.dvdfab.cn There is a paid version as well but it's quite expensive.

There was a paid Version on one of the giveaway sites a while back.

1388374 2014-11-20 06:58:00 Thanks guy’s, the matter has been resolved. :)

It turned out an interesting exercise for the following reasons.

Firstly, the original burn was done with a very old version of DVDFab, on my faithful old XP machine. It wouldn’t play in my DVD player but would on my W7 machine.

So I downloaded TDMore, as Wainui suggested, and the burnt disk worked perfectly with my DVD player.

However, when I compared the disks visually, burned by different machines, it was obvious that one disk was a much better burn than the other. The one that wouldn’t play on my DVD player, didn’t look like it had been burnt at all, where the other that would play looked normal.

So, I found another computer DVD player/writer and replaced the old one on my XP machine and all is good. My old DVDFab on my XP machine is now as clever as my new TDMore on my W7 machine. ;)

I would have upgraded my XP machine to TDMore but that programme isn’t compatible with XP.

So thank you dugimondo & Wainui for your input, an interesting day.
