1388289 2014-11-18 04:46:00 Hi guys.

We have a aged HP a6140a, that died, again last Saturday and had to run the restore disks.

Apart from usual problems setting up wifi, went quite well.

Today, all of a sudden like, the sound stopped.

I plugged a music player into speakers and all was good, but nothing out of front or back speaker jacks on computer.

I gota usb sound thingee card, that I plugged into front usb and thats working.

Any ideas before I throws it out da window????

Nothing fancy, Speedy.
Just a couple of the horrid plastic speakers.
I didn't reinstall sounds as was working okay, from we small hours of Sunday, until early this arvo.
Just tried running a backup program Sound WDM_A406.exe and comes up with RTKVAC.sys not found
