| 1388197 | 2014-11-17 07:10:00 | Hey there, was hoping someone could give me some advice on protecting my computer. I was surfing the web and must have caught a nasty virus because because the next day there was a few new programs that were on my computer that i don't recall installing and was unable to surf the web. I then system restored my computer to fix the problem. Any advice on helping me avoid this problem happening again would be much appreciated. Noob sighing in:D |

(www.bleepingcomputer.com) Run it click on scan, wait for it to finish then click on clean. Wait for that to finish then reboot And AVOID sites like filehippo.com, cnet.com, and download.com. All 3 can give you malware. If you download anything from them |
