| 1387980 | 2014-11-12 01:47:00 | MSN FOREX GADGET discontinued as of Nov 2014..... Can anybody recommend a replacement gadget/widget for my desktop that can display say GBP,EUR,USD,NZD and allow me to convert entered amounts into other currencies etc as one could with MSN FOREX GADGET. I'd ideally like something that can sit permanently on the desktop....running W7Pro 64bit Appreciate any help....or advice.. |

I don't like your chances long term, gadgets never really took off so I doubt there's much interest in maintaining them. You might have to just bookmark a webpage. Google finds a few different ones, no Idea if they are currently working so you'll have to try for yourself. Windows 8 live tiles seem like a similar concept except you can't park them on the desktop and have to go to the start screen to see them, in windows 10 you'll be able to add them to the start menu if you want. I think the ability to park 1 or 2 on the desktop would make them get more use personally. Dual screen fixes that though as you can have tiles on one and desktop on the other. |
