1388720 2014-11-24 19:51:00 paint.Net (http://www.getpaint.net/) is another alternative. autechre (266)
1388721 2014-11-24 19:55:00 I've gotten used to using Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/)
I like it because it's great for Trademe. I can crop, insert, rotate or put multiple images in a single frame, etc.
Example:

In this instance I wanted to show the vase and the makers' stamp in the same pic.

1388723 2014-11-25 01:22:00 I've just downloaded what looks like reasonable photo editor from HERE (http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/).

Free for another 6 hours. ;)

May be a bit dodgy, its first action after install was to try and access all files in my C:\ drive. I've given it a miss. On the other hand it could be quite legit, who knows?

1388726 2014-11-26 01:36:00 I make use of Window 7's Snipping tool. I don't have problems with it and it's easy to crops the photos. But when there's a need to do some editing while cropping the photos too, I use Adobe Photoshop. ruellesmith (17277)

Thanks, but I am more interested in what people have actually used and like.

I have googled and seen hundreds of image programs.

Some will be good, some will suck and some will be spyware and some will be large and bloated.

If you open up Photo gallery, navigate to the picture you want to work on, double click the photo then on the "Edit" tab is cropping and other options.
