Its hard to justify the spare parts cost, when the same part, imported by other local companies is 1/2 the price or less. Bearing prices are a good example of this. I get rather annoyed when I see just how much auto mechanics charged me for a set of plugs that are dirt cheap from SuperCheap. Ive never understood why people buy new cars, unless you have lots of money to burn. They loose so much value within the 1st year . May as well drive along & throw hundred $ notes out the window. :rolleyes: Well as a person who bought a new Toyota Corolla last year. 1. It comes with a 5 year warranty. 2. Comes with 5 years of free servicing and WOF. 3. 5 Years road side assistance. 4. Free tires for the life that we own the car. 5. We intent to keep it for 10 years..	paulw (1826)

The business model The Warehouse is developing is to source, import, then retail - in house. The Warehouse is selling branded parallel imported items these days usually under conventional retail outlet prices. Check the prices ... at one end of the scale 200g Nescafe is consistently $2.50 less than the local supermarket Nescafe version. It's imported from Indonesia, but so also is most of our coffee imported from Indonesia. Jewellery? At the other end of the scale some items of jewellery retail at The Warehouse for over $5000. Cheap junk? Ignoring the loss leaders in the whiteware and consumer electronic retail stores, you'll be hard pressed to beat the The Warehouse pricing. To repeat - ignore the loss leaders. Yes the The Warehouse still offer budget priced items for the necessities of clothing and housewares, and in so doing fill a needed socio economic demand. No, I don't or have ever worked for The Warehouse although I have recently been involved in some external price checking of the chain, which is where I reached these conclusions.	WalOne (4202)

You possibly werent considering a used car anyway , but Just wondering, how much cheaper would a similar Toyota Signature used car have been? even after the value of free servicing & tyres ? 3 Years unlimited KM Warranty 3 Years AA Roadservice 3 Years WOF checks My car is 23 years old, so I am totally biased of course. I wont be keeping my car for 10 years :-) Bought a Signature Toyota Wish this year for Ma - in - law. with the 3 year stuff. Seems a good car.. We looked at used Corollas but they were very close the the new price and had less of a warranty that we passed on them.. The Mazda 626 that i use as a work hack is now 15 years old and just keeps on going. Done about 225 thousand K.. When I does I geuss it will get replace but with another Sig class or hack..	paulw (1826)
