| 1375792 | 2014-05-24 23:11:00 | Paul Little in today's Herald: It has been reported membership of the World Clown Association has fallen about 30 per cent since 2004. The reasons are unclear. One obvious explanation was ruled out when it was discovered the number of politicians hadn't increased by 30 per cent in the same period. Perhaps clowns aren't joiners. Maybe they developed coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. The most plausible explanation seems to be reality has outstripped their efforts to make the world look ridiculous and clowns no longer have a job to do. Nice one, Paul. |

I didn't factor in they would be slowed down by their sandals, the weight of their cardigans, and aerodynamic slowing caused by their hirsute features (where else can you grow a beard during working hours in an office environment?). ;) |

| 1375799 | 2014-05-25 10:42:00 | They process paperwork at a cruising speed of 6 haircuts per ten pages. Obviously, long hair and less haircuts means less work, that is their idea of efficiency and energy conservation. In the days when I had a beard, I used to grow it 24/7. Quite obviously, in the hallowed halls of hibernation they only grow for dough ;) |
