373510 2005-07-19 14:00:00 Is there any way to change a window comp's desktop with a command? I mean something like 'setbg -s /path/to/image'.

Something tells me there's not but just to make sure...

Cheers.

373511 2005-07-19 14:05:00 ha! you think ms would let you do this?

I think not!

(go linux)

You could try setting the background to something, then renaming an image to "something" and replacing the file. But you would have to hit F5 at the desktop before a change occured. And a refresh cannot be done through GUI as far as i know...

373513 2005-07-20 00:30:00 Wallpaperchanger.de manages to change it, you could email the writer and ask him how he did it?! :) Chilling_Silence (9)
373514 2005-07-20 02:50:00 There will be a routine in one of the millions of DLLs to do this. Just write a programme. ;) But MS probably haven't provided it as a command. They don't want users using commands. Graham L (2)
373515 2005-07-20 02:55:00 You make it sound so easy... "Just write a program"!? ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
373516 2005-07-20 05:29:00 Actually Graham I am writing a small prog but I was planning on using a system() call to WIN to do the work for me...

Thanks for replies.
