373467 2005-07-19 10:58:00 I have taken a few movies (very short) with my digi camera, and transferred them to my computer. They play very well.

What I would like to know is, am I able to transfer these movies to discs, so I can give copies to the people involved in them. And if so,what type of disc would I use. ie. standard recordable cd discs,or dvd discs.

Thanks.

Hook.

373468 2005-07-19 11:20:00 If they're not too big, u can make videocds out of them.

They should fit on a cdr. BUT videocds arent as good (as in quality sometimes, as if u made a DVD). But then if its not that big, it'll be a waste of a blank DVD.

Another thing is tho, if u do make DVD's, it may or may not play in other DVD players.

373469 2005-07-19 11:30:00 Thanks for the info Speedy.

The movies are very very small, but of great interest to those involved.Right now, the only way for others to see them is for them to come to my place,or leave it on the card and watch it on the camera.(not really an option as I don't have a ready supply of cards).I'll try one on a cdr,and see what happens.

Cheers,

Hook

373470 2005-07-19 11:37:00 No worries. If u do make videocds, they may not show menus etc if u decide to add any. (this may happen on older DVD players, newer ones might show them OK).

If the movie doesnt play in other DVD players as a videocd, get your mates to turn PCB (which is an option in the setup screen/menu on some DVD players) on, or off.

373471 2005-07-20 02:28:00 I've just played with making a VCD on Nero. I just grabbed an .avi file from a magazine CD. MY Digitrex DVD player showed PBC (not PCB ;)) on the screen. Pressing the 1 button on the remote started it playing. The normal Play/Enter button didn't start it. Graham L (2)

Try this one. I use it to convert avi files to play on my DVD player. I was a late convert to Deadwood and went back to the beginning to get the episodes I'd missed. You can also use NeroVision Express but it takes much longer.
Ok, so they are only small but a DVD isn't very dear.

373473 2005-07-21 01:16:00 The one I made was a 1 mnute 40 second clip. Nero took 3 minutes 22 seconds to convert it to MPEG, and puting it on the CD took another 40 seconds. ;) Graham L (2)
