373333 2005-07-19 06:44:00 One point that that doesn't get mentioned in these power saving discussions is that if your video, tv and stereo are switched off at the wall, then when you switch them back on the clock needs resetting, radio stations aren't preset any more, and if they've been off for a few days, some tvs and vcrs lose their tuning settings. So sure you saved a few cents in power, but by the time you set them up again, was it worth it? Sure, I know some keep their settings longer than others, but for some people setting up a video means getting in a tech. Andrew B (867)
373334 2005-07-19 09:16:00 I switch off everything except the VCR (because of the internal clock and time settings). It isn't the individual saving we make but the sum total over NZ thats important. martynz (5445)
