| 373590 | 2005-07-19 22:36:00 | Anyone got any suggestions or know of any free/ shareware to try and recover data from a HDD that was reloaded in error. Was Win 2000 and I believe load process that was used quick formats the HDD before reloading it . It is running Win 2000 again on new load. I know the reload will have over written some data on the HDD but I am hoping some of the old data may be recovereable Can you help? |

| 373591 | 2005-07-19 23:42:00 | Try PC Inspector File Recovery (www.pcinspector.de). Download it to a different PC or at least a different drive to that you want to recover from. The less you access the drive, the greater your chances of recovery. Good luck. |

| 373593 | 2005-07-22 11:40:00 | You could try pressing Ctrl Z a few times to see if you can undo the format. Otherwise search here somewhere for bootable disks with recovery tools, none come to mind at the moment, but someone here will know. |
