374074 2005-07-23 22:16:00 Hi there BK T

Um, if you have of can get a copy of Office 95, add that to you PC. MS Excel in Ofice 95, allowed you the option to write Macros in XL4, the difference being, you need just FOUR lines of code to open a specifice Worksheet in a Workbook.

Ive done what you explained at the start of the Post.

I created an index Page, ran a Macro, that opened the Index Page when this file was opened.

The Index page, has a Macro button for Every page in the Workbook, each subsequent page had One Macro button, thet went directly back to the index Page.

And the Code in XL4 - To Open one Page in the Workbook

=Echo(False)
=WORKBOOK.SELECT("YourWorkbookPageSheetTabName")
=SELECT("R1C1")
=Return()

 Unfortunatly MS did Away with this sweet simple Macro language from Office 97 onwards, but I still use it to write Macros for Excel workbooks.

If you have difficulty, send me a list o your Workbook Names and Ill send you the Code for all of them, and or leave me a Message.

Hi John, I may have a copy of Office 95 (have to hunt for it). You mean I can install both copies (95 & 2003) of Office in the same machine? Will they clash? I am quite used to my Office 2003 and going back to Office 95 is certainly not an option.

Parry, have checked everything as you suggested but still could not get the GoToSheet shown. I'm sure everything is done correctly as per your instruction. Is there any compatibility problem somewhere?

Cheers

You should have NO trouble reinstalling Office 95 on your machine. If you are asked to remove other/previous versions, select No of course.

Ive a Folders under Program File for both Office 95 and Office 2003.

Id select Custom setup, incase MS Outlook tries to install itself, untick that, just tick the boxes you want, say Word, Excel, leave the rest unticked.

When you Record a new Macro in XL95, make sure you select Options and tick MS Excel 4 Macro.

Any problems, email me at home on j h w at xtra co nz OK. Take out the spaces at the start, and put in the dots.

Cheers........John.
