374709	2005-07-24 00:27:00	Friends, I am writing this with dialup. This because I switched from Jetstream to telstra's service for my ADSL. Ever since the switch i can no longer connect. The helpdesk is desperate. Their logs show that I connect correctly with the right ID and PW. Still, their log also tells them all the time: wrong password. It has been escalated to a senior, whoms answer i am awaiting. My modem is fine, the line is OK, I can connect to jetstreamgames.co.nz. Any idea what is wrong here? 374710	2005-07-24 01:17:00	Very funny one, have you tried resetting the modem. Another suggestion... it's probably been done but have a go at changing the password to something else. Other than that I can't think of anything else. cheers chiefnz	chiefnz (545)
374711	2005-07-24 03:52:00	Tried it all, even bought e new ADSL modem, since I thought that my good old Alcatel Speed Touch Pro had lost its ability to remember the password. But with new modem same thing. The problem is evidently at Paradises end, but why and how? I tried with their helpline all combo's of passwords and changed even the id, but to no avail.......	hotkiwi (6379)
374712	2005-07-25 03:16:00	problem solved. Can you believe it. I was signed on for ADSL and on the same day someone else in the Telstra office signed me off again. The technicians could not see this, since according to their computers I was a full customer of their broadband. 16 hours of suffering and testing and buying a new modem although the old one was good were necessary to get here...... what a mess	hotkiwi (6379)
374713	2005-07-25 03:35:00	Get them to compensate you - they should give you at least a free month or something. Probably quite true that the helpdesk couldn't see that. Still I would have bumped it up to the main techs way before letting it get that point. Paradises HD used to be so good, until they got stuck with Clears...	pctek (84)
