| 374544 | 2005-07-23 02:31:00 | I'm trying to re-install Win Xp and while using the floppies (my CD drive is somehow non-bootable) it prompted me for the drivers for my SATA drive. But it somehow won't load the driver from the floppy and kept on giving me this error: "File \SATA\winxp\viasraid.sys caused an unexpected error (4096) at line 2108 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. press any key to continue" Does anyone know how i can get this fixed? i need to get this done so i can install win xp onto the drive. |

| 374547 | 2005-07-23 03:13:00 | All BIOSs will boot from CD. So I'd troubleshoot that first. Second, are you using the right driver? Your MB CD will have a section for sATA and should include a make floppy part. |

| 374549 | 2005-07-23 09:52:00 | This floppy based boot manager will overcome your non booting cdrom problem linux.simple.be Its a great little tool I use often to overcome the non booting cdrom issues. I've had some will and others wont (on the same machine) And it wasn't a BIOS setting fault either. |
