2005-07-26 06:34:00 | Hi there, I notice now that some sites you visit, if you hover over a JPEG image, and right click then nothing happens. This seems to stop people from taking the image from your site. Having said that I realise there must be ways around it fairly quickly, but it nevertheless seems a useful way of providing a degree of image protection for your web site. Does anyone know if it is simply a matter of HTML code, or do people use some software of sorts? Many thanks James

2005-07-26 07:30:00 | I thought that there would be an easy way around it...but does anyone know (or point me in the direction) of the html code that prevents the basic right click, 'save picture as' option. | james123456 (6300) | |
2005-07-26 07:35:00 | Most probably in the source under the view menu, but unless u own the site and even if u remove the code its using you still wont get the option. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2005-07-26 08:11:00 | This extension disables that function, maybe if you study how it works you can figure out what you want to know: roachfiend.com

2005-07-26 09:43:00 | Normally its a java script that stops right clicks and the script and its many varients is freely downloadable from the many freeware script sites. But as already suggested, if you want to you can get round it. Remember locks only keep the honest out
