| 375364 | 2005-07-26 01:45:00 | Please don't ask me why.(it is too complicated) but is it possible to have 2 modems installed and connected in XP on COM 1 and Com3 |

And take note of what Tweak has said about com ports being shared. I think you will need specific modems that are designed to be shotgunned or piggybacked. |

| 375367 | 2005-07-26 02:26:00 | Right now I will explain. I have a winmodem Agere inbuilt and have installed a dynalink external for my linux 2nd partition of course as I see from the replies it will not work so is it safe to uninstall the agere and then will XP recognise my Dynalink. Up untill now I have been swapping connection leads to my phone line. Thanks |

The interrupt design on the PCs was a disaster from the start. The worst part is that the problems had been seen and sorted out by the middle 70s. IBM's PC team just ignored the existing, working, methods in 1981. |
