| 376378 | 2005-07-28 11:12:00 | I have recently had an ADSL connection set up with IHUG as my ISP. In general the service works well however I have noticed that after I have left my computer unattended and unused for a few hours, the internet connection fails and all attempts to repair the connection are unsuccessful even though right clicking the local area connection reports the status as connected. The only way I can re-establish the connection is to restart my computer. I was wondering if some program exists that will send a small packet of information every so often just to keep the internet connection active while I am not in attendance or perhaps there is some other solution to the problem short of having to reboot on each occasion. Thanks for your suggestions. :help: |
