376416 2005-07-28 12:02:00 So how do I go about restoring my Packard bell imedia to factory settings when they don't provide you with restore cd's and the restore point thingie doesnt fix the problem either? bubbybrat (8594)
376417 2005-07-28 12:10:00 Some systems have a hidden partition.

BUT where i dont know. Never had a shop brought system.

If thats not there, I would ring them. If its still under warranty.

376419 2005-07-28 12:19:00 firstly what are you trying to fix?

if its so bad it needs a format/reinstall then borrow a disk from a mate with the same os, format reinstall and use your key with the borrowed disk. don't forget to get your windows key BEFORE you format.

Your computer, may have a hidden partition, which holds the files,
that allows you to format and install xp back to factory configuration.

If it is you will be able to access it from your all programs list, or,
turn the computer off, restart and tap F10.

good luck,

Cheers,
