| 377427 | 2005-08-01 23:59:00 | I am going to get ADSL soon (at present wireless internet under project probe, which I believe runs out in a year to 18mths then I might have to pay full amount which is too expensive). I notice that Telecom, at the moment, are offering a free ADSL modem with new connections. My present situation is; 2 network cards, one for wireless internet and one for Belkin wireless access point for my home LAN. I also notice that the Telecom ADSL modem is USB (not interested in that) plus 2 ethernet ports, which could suit my situation nicely as; I could run 2 computers off the modem (one windows, one linux) plus still have that extra network card for my LAN. Does this sound feasible? or would I be better off paying extra and getting a firewall router? and if so does anyone have a recommendation as to which brand/type? Thanks :D |
