377081 2005-07-31 11:18:00 What do I need to do to get the image on my TV when linked to my computer to be in colour. At present i can connect no trouble but the screen image that comes up on the TV is in Black & White and not colour?

How do Iswitch to the colour mode?

Thanks

377082 2005-07-31 11:23:00 How are you connecting your computer to your TV. There are 2 or 3 ways you can connect your comp. to your TV.

377083 2005-07-31 11:30:00 Thanks Trev, Connectiong to the TV with the cable that plugs into the "yellow" coded socket on both comp and TV (think it may be called coaxil?) Chrisj (8633)
377084 2005-07-31 12:11:00 output is proberly in ntsc. some cards have a jumber on them to change it. needs to be pal. tho most tv's these days are multi standard but pal is better than ntsc.

also if your are useing the svideo-rca adapter some need a special adaptor rather than the usual one.

377085 2005-07-31 21:53:00 Hey if you are actually using a s-video connection (a round pulg with 4 pins? and a square peg in it) you may have a faulty lead. One or more of the pins in these leads carry the colour information and if its is broken all you get is black and white. I had this problem before when my girlfriend was too forceful in connecting cable and bent one of the pins. Hope this helps.

377089 2005-08-02 21:11:00 Have you figured out what kind of connection there is between your computer and tv. As I am aware there are only two main connections, rca composite and s-video. If you are still unsure see if the connector on the tv is labelled as anything. Did you try using a different cable? Also if your graphics card has both options available maybe you could try the other. pico (4752)
377090 2005-08-03 07:00:00 I had the same problem, but found a botton on the tv that when pressed switches between, auto,pal,pal60, and NTSC 4.43 the later is the one it has to be on for me to get colour. :) G-Boy (6793)
