376958 2005-07-31 02:24:00 Dear all,

I used DAP 7.0 as download manager in Internet Explorer. I liked it coz with a simple rightclick it would download. Also one could queue 1000 s of files. There was too much adware/spyware though, so i got Getright. Does also a good job. However the right click does not work in Firefox and Firefox owns downloader does not queue the jobs very well.
Anyone got tips??
Cheers
Johan

376959 2005-07-31 02:36:00 Have a look at the FlashGot extension, it supports most 3rd party downloaders. bmason (508)
376960 2005-07-31 02:54:00 Hey and I just found a freebie that is brandnew on download.com, called Fresh Download 7.34. Apparently no spy/adware. Anyone got xperience with that one?? hotkiwi (6379)
376961 2005-07-31 03:07:00 Yup it was useless when I used it.

It did nothing, no matter whether I used opera/Firefox or IE.

If you use something like Getright etc, it'll take over the default download program, ie: Firefox, Opera, IE. Thats the point of using one. As it'll let u resume. Well so, does Opera, it lets u stop/resume, which is handy to have.

This is better http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ and it works.

376966 2005-07-31 04:54:00 Use FreshDownload here. I only want a basic small, no frills downloader.

if your having trouble with FreshDownload why not monitor/copy link from the clipboard and paste it into the "New URL".
