| 377040 | 2005-07-31 07:27:00 | What software do I need and how do I go about editing home dvds. I have a few home movies and the odd documentary off the tele on dvd - recorded on my DSE dvd recorder. They consist of a series of .VOB files. I can play them on the PC with PowerDVD but I want to edit out bits that I don't want (like tv ads). I have got PowerDirector but it doesn't seem to want to import the files (just locks up). I tried VirtualDub but it seems to only copy the file or make a 12 minute video into a 22 Gb .avi file that runs at about 1/100th full speed! Can anyone give me a few hints on how to do what I want to achieve? I am NOT interested in copying copyright dvds, just editing legit homemade stuff. Ta, andy |
